Part 33 - Printer Troubles

Printing is a very popular part of the photographic hobby. Although inkjet printers are capable of delivering excellent quality when working in peak condition, things can sometimes go wrong. Below are a couple of sections of a larger print where there has been a printing problem. The article in the magazine explains ways of fixing these problems. For reference a scanned version of the full-sized final print is shown below.

Readers may find it interesting to compare the scanned print (above) with the original digital image (below). There are minor differences in brightness and colour but overall they are surprisingly close. This demonstrates the high quality that can be obtained with a modern injket printer, in this case an Epson R800 printing on Epson Premium Glossy paper.
